About Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter
(FoCCAS)
FoCCAS, founded in 2009, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which
provides volunteers, fundraising and promotional activities to supplement the
Colleton County Animal Shelter. Donations are tax deductible. Please
contact us if you would like to sponsor an event.
Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter will be holding a general
members meeting and Volunteer/Supporter Appreciation night on Wednesday, March
10th at 6 PM in the training room at CCFD Station 19, Walterboro. Light refreshments will be
provided.
Members will have the opportunity to join the committee of their
choice and meet our volunteers, supporters and sponsors.
Members are encouraged to bring family, friends and neighbors who
wish to join our organization.
Working together as a community we can make a difference to our
population of homeless pets.
We invite all members of the community to join us. Bring your ideas forward on how we, as a
community, can improve the lives of our homeless pets. Be an Officer or Member of the Board of
Directors, an Educator, a Fundraiser, or a Volunteer. Become involved and make a
difference. Contact us at: foccas@lowcountry.com, 843-835-2138
(Colleton phone #) or at 843-259-0914 (Charleston phone
#).
Our Goals:
· Provide additional facilities for the
shelter animals.
· Provide financial assistance for medical
needs of adoptable animals.
· Promote shelter pet adoptions.
· Promote public awareness of humane
treatment and proper care for all animals.
· Provide education on the importance of
spaying and neutering pets.
To those of you who would like to help but have other obligations
consuming your time, please remember to encourage your family, friends and
neighbors to spay and neuter their pets.
Spaying and neutering now will prevent an overpopulation of unwanted pets
in the future, saving money and lives.
